Expand Your Mind

We have always looked for ways to get past the limits of normal conciousness. We are sure there must be something more out there beyond what we normally experience. That's why so many of us got into drugs. So we could get a new perspective on things, see things differently, and expand our minds.

Everything we tried seemed to be a dead end. We just couldn't break through to the next dimension. Then we found out in the Bible that there is another dimension that we can enter by expanding our mind. It's the spiritual dimension.

In I Corinthians 2, Paul raps about some really heavy stuff, "the deep things of God" (I Cor. 2:10). We can dig things by checking out the thoughts of God. He can see everything from a different perspective because He's beyond space, time, and history. Just check it out sometime. Go to the top of a tall building and look out the window. Compare what you see to what it looks like  when you're walking around on the street. God is on top of the building, and you are walking around on the street. He sees things you never can. He sees how it all fits together.

Can we dig this? Check this out. Paul says, "But we have the mind of Christ." Christ is God Himself, so we can have the mind of God. Far out! When we get right with God we can see things from a completely different perspective. We see everything from an eternal perspective. Some things become more important. Some things become less important, when we see them in the spiritual dimension. But if you're not in the spiritual dimension it doesn't make any sense. Dig?
