Without God in control, things
went down hill fast. Everybody was hooked on sin. Lying, stealing, murder, immorality, you
name it; it was all happening. People were stealing each other's chicks. Brothers were
murdering each other, man. It was really a drag.
God is smart enough to know how to run everything. But when you get millions of little people, each trying to run their own lives, you get conflict, chaos, disorder, fighting, and...war.
All of us have inherited the sin habit. We're all sin junkies. We don't trust God, and we don't trust each other. We're all trying to get our own way.
Sin junkies can never have peace. We try different things to make peace, but nothing really works. Some things work for a while--encounter groups, love-ins, the United Nations, the World Bank, I'm OK-You're OK, Transcendental Meditation, but all of these things fail after a while. We've got to kick the sin habit.
Genesis 6:5 "The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had
become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the

way."
